To celebrate the Commie Camera Day last May 1st, I dusted off my Fed-1g which I haven't used for awhile since I bought a Leica IIF. The IIF recently developed some shutter problems so it was sent off for service. The Fed-1 is a "Barnack" styleSoviet copy of the Leica II but slightly smaller and is a very capable camera.

In these two portraits of my wife, Michelle, I tried the Industar 61LD, 50mm f2.8 lens on my Leica M2. The screw mount lens came with my Fed 2 which I bought two years ago for $30. It is still very sharp wide open. Light source from the window.
Thanks to my tax refund, I finally was able to get my dream camera; a Leica M2. I got it from Keh.com. Listed as a bargain, it was nevertheless very clean and seems to work perfectly. I haven't found an affordable Leitz lens yet so my screw mount Jupiter-12 and Canon 50 f1.8 lenses would do.
